Maruti Suzuki to increase dealership network to drive Alto sales

Maruti Suzuki India (MSI), the country’s top car manufacturer has decided to increase its dealership network in the upcountry pockets to penetrate deeper in the market, in order to enhance more volumes for its latest launch the new Alto 800. The company has targeted small towns and niche segments like turmeric farmers in Tiruchengode in Tamil Nadu, spices farmers in Kerala and apple growers in Himachal Pradesh to achieve yearly growth.

Recently, Maruti Suzuki unveiled its best seller Alto in an all new form - Alto 800 - on October 16, 2012. New Alto 800 sports a fresh look, is roomier, is over 15 percent more fuel efficient and is even better ‘geared’ for city conditions. Maruti Suzuki, along with its vendors, has invested over Rs 470 crore towards developing the Alto 800.
