Copper futures ended higher on Wednesday as the US dollar weakened against its major peers, that makes dollar-denominated metals more cheaper for non-US buyers. Though, US President Donald Trump’s threat to veto a long-awaited stimulus bill capped some gains.
Copper futures for March delivery gained $0.0360 to settle at $3.5560 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 1.25% at $7,843.50 a ton.
