BEML surges on bagging order worth Rs 758 crore

BEML is currently trading at Rs. 1030.65, up by 38.00 points or 3.83% from its previous closing of Rs. 992.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1001.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1040.00 and Rs. 1001.00 respectively. So far 6995 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1080.00 on 16-Jan-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 369.60 on 24-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1050.00 and Rs. 957.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4133.84 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.03%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 21.22% and 24.76% respectively.

BEML has received prestigious order from the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for supply of High Mobility vehicles, at an approximate value of Rs 758 crore. These High Mobility vehicles would play a key role in the logistics management of the Indian Army leveraging on its exceptional cross country capabilities. These vehicles would enable armoured fighting vehicles, troops, ammunitions and stores to be moved to far-flung, difficult terrains in operational areas. The equipment will be manufactured at company’s Palakkad Plant in Kerala and would supply the vehicles to Indian Army in a span of one year.
