Central Bank of India gains on signing MoU with NABFOUNDATION

Central Bank of India is currently trading at Rs. 13.92, up by 0.07 points or 0.51% from its previous closing of Rs. 13.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 13.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 13.99 and Rs. 13.69 respectively. So far 385074 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 21.60 on 29-Jun-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 10.04 on 19-Oct-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 14.24 and Rs. 13.69 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 8178.78 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 89.78%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 5.89% and 4.33% respectively.

Central Bank of India has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with NABFOUNDATION, a subsidiary of NABARD to provide funds to self-help groups (SHGs) for setting up sanitary napkin manufacturing units.

Under the MoU, Central Bank of India will provide working capital to all the SHGs which have an account with it to undertake this project. The funds will be provided collateral free and at a cheaper rate. The project would see NABARD providing a total support of nearly Rs 50 crore over a period of next three years. The initiative will be carried out in a phased manner to cover 700 districts in the country.
