L&T strengthens on reporting 43% rise in Q2 net profit

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is currently trading at Rs. 1660.00, up by 27.30 points or 1.67% from its previous closing of Rs. 1632.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1627.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1673.80 and Rs. 1616.00 respectively. So far 461673 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1663.00 on 12-Oct-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 971.00 on 21-Dec-2011.

The company has posted a rise of 42.45% in its net profit at Rs 1137.31 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 798.39 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 16.95% to Rs 13,524.62 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 11,564.25 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.
