Hawkins Cookers soars on receiving NOC from Punjab PCB for Hoshiarpur factory

Hawkins Cookers is currently trading at Rs. 1,880.00, up by 59.19 points or 3.25% from its previous closing of Rs. 1820.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1832.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1,885.00 and Rs. 1820.00 respectively. So far 1290 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1974.90 on 25-Oct-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1215.00 on 21-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1,974.90 and Rs. 1790.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 966.59 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.03% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 7.33% and 36.64% respectively.

Hawkins Cookers has received no objection certificate (NOC) dated October 22, 2012 from the Punjab Pollution Control Board (PCB) for Hoshiarpur factory for manufacturing 5,200 pressure cookers and their components per day, as applied for by the company.

Besides, the Industrial Relations situation in the company’s factory in Jaunpur district has been largely resolved by the signing of a wage agreement between the company and 85% of the workmen and the registration of the said agreement on October 20, 2012 by the Assistant Labour Commissioner, Varanasi.
