Berger Paints rises on introducing new depot in Mundanpalam

Berger Paints India is currently trading at Rs. 140.05, up by 0.70 points or 0.50% from its previous closing of Rs. 139.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 139.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 141.60 and Rs. 139.30 respectively. So far 17143 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 156.30 on 28-Sep-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 78.15 on 21-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 146.00 and Rs. 139.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4851.52 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 75.54% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 12.96% and 11.50% respectively.

Berger Paints, one of the leading paint companies in India has introduced a new depot in Mundanpalam in Thrikakkara near Kochi. This new depot will be catering to the districts of Ernakulam, Alappuzha and Idukki. This depot will serve all the verticals of the industry, namely decorative, industrial and powder coatings.

Berger Paints is the third largest paint manufacturer and second largest manufacturer in decorative paints. It’s headquarter is located in Kolkata, it has distribution network of 75 stock points and 12,000 paint retailers. The company’s manufacturing facilities is located in West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Pondicherry, Goa, and Jammu and Kashmir.
