Asian Markets trade higher in early deals on Monday

Asian equity benchmarks traded higher in early deals on Monday, kindled by the optimism on back to normalcy soon with the decline in covid cases, and vaccine rollout in faster pace all over the world. The market also got boosted in line with the firmer cues from Wall Street on Friday. The markets in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong remain closed for the Lunar New Year holidays. Japan’s Nikkei, is advancing above 30,000 benchmark for the first time in more than three decades. Investments also got bolstered with the news that Pfizer's coronavirus vaccine received approval in Japan and on better than expected Japanese GDP data. Among the other Asian markets, Singapore, South Korea, Indonesia and Malaysia are in positive note. 

Nikkei 225 up by 514.51 points or 1.74% to 30,034.58, Straits Times rose by 12.52 points or 0.43% to 2,938.00, KOSPI Index widened 49.70 points or 1.60% to 3,150.28, Jakarta Composite higher by 51.31 points or 0.82% to 6,273.83, and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI lifted by 9.89 points 0.62% to 1,609.31.
