Asian Markets trade mostly higher in early deals on Monday

Most of Asian equity benchmarks traded higher in early deals on Monday, as the continued optimism about the global economic recovery with the huge covid relief fund to be passed soon by the US government. However, worries over inflation and lacklustre cues from US stocks in Friday trade capped the gains. Japan’s Nikkei as the exporters gains with the weaker yen. Among the other Asian markets, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia and China are in positive trend. Bucking the trend, South Korea, China and Malaysia traded lower.

Nikkei 225 up by 203.54 points or 0.68% to 30,221.46, Straits Times rose by 7.53 points or 0.26% to 2,888.17, Hang Seng increased by 140.84 points or 0.46% to 30,785.57, Taiwan Weighted higher 120.63 points or 0.74% to 16,462.01, Jakarta Composite lifted by 68.32 points or 1.10% to 6,300.25, and 

On the flip side, KOSPI Index declined 20.13 points or 0.65% to 3,087.49, Shanghai Composite lifted down by 3.59 points or 0.10% to 3,692.58 and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI dipped by 4.14 points 0.26% to 1,580.79.
