NTPC surges on planning to start commercial operation of Unit-2 of Gadarwara Super Thermal Power Station

NTPC is currently trading at Rs. 109.05, up by 1.10 points or 1.02% from its previous closing of Rs. 107.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 107.45 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 110.95 and Rs. 104.60 respectively. So far 2253847 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 110.95 on 04-Mar-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 74.00 on 23-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 110.95 and Rs. 93.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 105208.83 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.10%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 45.91% and 2.99% respectively.

NTPC is going to start commercial operation of Unit-2 of 800 MW of Gadarwara Super Thermal Power Station (2 x 800 MW) with effect from March 01, 2021. With this, the commercial capacity of NTPC and NTPC group will become 52115 MW and 64880 MW respectively.

NTPC is the largest power utility company in India and has presence in Coal, Gas, Solar PV, Hydro and Wind Power Generation and Coal Mining.
