Lemon Tree Hotels surges on signing license agreement in Nepal

Lemon Tree Hotels is currently trading at Rs. 42.75, up by 0.25 points or 0.59% from its previous closing of Rs. 42.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 43.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 43.65 and Rs. 42.55 respectively. So far 38084 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 49.45 on 08-Dec-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 13.80 on 21-May-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 44.80 and Rs. 40.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3402.70 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 25.88%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 38.25% and 35.63% respectively.

Lemon Tree Hotels has signed license agreement for an 80 room upcoming hotel at Biratnagar in Nepal under the brand ‘Lemon ‘Tree Premier’. The hotel is expected to be operational by January 2023, and this will be the third hotel of the company in Nepal, including Kathmandu and Nagarkot.

The hotel will feature 80 well-appointed rooms & suites, complemented by a multi-cuisine restaurant, a bar, meeting and conference spaces and recreational facilities. The hotel is owned by Nepal International Hospitality. Carnation Hotels, a subsidiary and the hotel management arm of the Company will be operating and marketing this Hotel.

Lemon Tree Hotels is India’s largest hotel chain in the mid-priced hotel sector, and the third largest overall, on the basis of controlling interest in owned and leased rooms.
