Escorts trades marginally in green on launching upgraded version of Powertrac

Escorts is currently trading at Rs. 66.25, up by 0.45 points or 0.68% from its previous closing of Rs. 65.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 66.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 66.35 and Rs. 65.80 respectively. So far 5357 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 93.30 on 17-Feb-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 55.45 on 27-Jul-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 68.65 and Rs. 65.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 694.97 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 32.66% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 16.14% and 51.20% respectively.

Escorts has introduced upgraded versions of its Powertrac series of tractors. The new Diesel-Saver Plus series provides 10% power upgrade, which results in better mileage, higher horsepower than its existing range. The upgraded versions has bigger engines, a haulage-special flat backend, an advanced ‘TLS’ Hydraulic system, and a heavy-duty gear box.

Escorts offer a comprehensive range of tractors with more than 45 variants starting from 25 to 80 HP. The company also manufactures and markets a diverse range of equipments like cranes, loaders, vibratory rollers and forklifts.
