Bajaj Finance surges after its consolidated deposit book rises by 20% in March

Bajaj Finance is currently trading at Rs. 5024.90, up by 61.20 points or 1.23% from its previous closing of Rs. 4963.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 5045.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 5058.75 and Rs. 4970.00 respectively. So far 52390 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 5921.75 on 24-Feb-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1783.10 on 27-May-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 5285.00 and Rs. 4925.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 302312.04 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.12%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 32.96% and 10.64% respectively.

Bajaj Finance’s deposit book rose by 20 percent to approximately Rs 25,800 crore as of March 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 21,427 crore as of March 31, 2020. Deposit book in Q4 FY21 grew by over Rs 2,000 crore. Customer franchise as of March 31, 2021 stood at 48.6 MM as compared to 42.6 MM as of March 31, 2020. The Company acquired 2.3 MM new customers in Q4 FY21 as compared to 1.9 MM in Q4 FY20.

New loans booked during Q4 FY21 were 5.5 MM as compared to 6.0 MM in Q4 FY20. Assets under management (AUM) stood at approximately Rs 153,000 crore as of March 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 147,153 crore as of March 31, 2020. AUM in Q4 FY21 grew by approximately Rs 9,500 crore.
