Exide Industries reports 36% rise in Q4 consolidated net profit

Exide Industries has reported results for fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2021.

The company has reported a rise of 45.31% in its net profit at Rs 244.12 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 168 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 42.97% at Rs 2,962.37 crore for Q4FY21 as compared Rs 2,071.95 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a rise of 35.91% in its net profit at Rs 320.17 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 235.57 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 31.38% at Rs 4,575.49 crore for Q4FY21 as compared Rs 3,482.69 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2021, the company has reported a fall of 8.14% in its net profit at Rs 758.28 crore as compared to Rs 825.51 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 1.87% at Rs 10,106.28 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 9,920.60 crore for year ended March 31, 2020.

For the year ended March 31, 2021, on the consolidated basis, the company has reported a rise of 5.33% in its net profit at Rs 803.10 crore as compared to Rs 762.48 crore for the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 5.74% at Rs 15,367.34 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 14,532.89 crore for year ended March 31, 2020.
