Amara Raja Batteries gets closure orders from APPCB for Andhra Pradesh plants

Amara Raja Batteries has received closure orders from the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (APPCB) for its plants located in the state. The company has received closure orders for the company's manufacturing facilities situated at Karakambadi, Tirupati and Nunegundlapalli in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. The company is reviewing the said orders and will be taking all necessary recourse as may be necessary and available to protect the interest of all its stakeholders.

Amara Raja Batteries is the flagship company of the group and is engaged in manufacturing of industrial and automotive batteries. The company was first to introduce Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) batteries with three year warranty in industrial and automotive applications.
