Ruchi Soya Industries’ Board has approved the signing of the Business Transfer Agreement (BTA) with Patanjali Natural Biscuits (PNBPL) in a slump sale at Rs 60.02 crore. The BTA is to acquire its business of PNBPL’s manufacturing, packing and labelling of biscuits, cookies, rusk and other associated bakery products.
This acquisition will create a unique opportunity for the company to participate and create value in the biscuit, cookies, rusk and other associated bakery product category in India.
Ruchi Soya Industries is a leading manufacturer and India’s largest marketer of healthier edible oils, soya food, premium table spread, vanaspati and bakery fats. It is also the highest exporter of soya meal, lecithin and other food ingredients from India.
