Godrej Properties surges on reporting 90% jump in Q2 net profit

Godrej Properties is currently trading at Rs. 612.00, up by 31.70 points or 5.46% from its previous closing of Rs. 580.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 587.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 615.00 and Rs. 587.00 respectively. So far 38,118 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 696.00 on 14-Mar-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 482.00 on 02-Aug-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 615.00 and Rs. 573.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4,776 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.99% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.94% and 9.07% respectively.

The company has reported 89.59% rise in its net profit at Rs 31.34 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 16.53 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income from operation of the company has decreased by 5.13% at Rs 95.78 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 100.96 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.
