Canara Bank zooms on turning black in Q4

Canara Bank is currently trading at Rs. 148.95, up by 2.30 points or 1.57% from its previous closing of Rs. 146.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 148.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 152.25 and Rs. 146.70 respectively. So far 861453 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 174.40 on 18-Feb-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 75.80 on 20-May-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 157.50 and Rs. 145.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 24470.53 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 69.33%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 17.19% and 13.48% respectively.

Canara Bank has reported net profit at Rs 1010.87 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021 as compared to net loss of Rs 3259.33 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 51.33% at Rs 21522.60 crore for Q4FY21 as compared Rs 14222.39 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the bank has reported net profit after minority interest at Rs 1195.78 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021 as compared to net loss of Rs 3209.98 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 55.54% at Rs 23774.15 crore for Q4FY21 as compared Rs 15285.27 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2021, the bank has reported net profit at Rs 2557.58 crore as compared to net loss of Rs 2235.72 crore for the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 48.95% at Rs 84525.08 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 56748.14 crore for year ended March 31, 2020.

For the year ended March 31, 2021, on the consolidated basis, the bank has reported net profit after minority interest at Rs 2890.60 crore as compared to net loss of Rs 1986.43 crore for the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 52.15% at Rs 93659.75 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 61558.15 crore for year ended March 31, 2020.
