Canara Bank has informed that in exercise of powers conferred by the proviso to clause (a) of sub-section (3) of section 9 of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970, read with sub-paragraph (1) of paragraph 8 of the Nationalised Banks (Management and Miscellaneous Provisions) Scheme, 1970, the Central Government has appointed Brij Mohan Sharma (DOB : 23.06.1963), Chief General Manager, Punjab National Bank as Executive Director in Canara Bank with effect from the date of assumption of office and up to the date of his attaining the age of superannuation (i.e., 30.06.2023), or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vide Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial Services notification no.
