JK Tyre catches speed on turning black in Q4

JK Tyre & Industries is currently trading at Rs. 126.20, up by 2.60 points or 2.10% from its previous closing of Rs. 123.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 128.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 131.25 and Rs. 124.40 respectively. So far 302904 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 146.75 on 25-Jan-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 48.30 on 20-May-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 131.25 and Rs. 113.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3077.89 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.23%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 4.76% and 38.43% respectively.

JK Tyre & Industries has reported net profit at Rs 137.18 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021 as compared to net loss of Rs 8.13 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 49.81% at Rs 2036.85 crore for Q4FY21 as compared Rs 1359.60 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported net profit attributed to the owners at Rs 189.12 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021 as compared to net loss of Rs 47.20 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 63.31% at Rs 2944.64 crore for Q4FY21 as compared Rs 1803.09 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2021, the company has reported12.15% rise in its net profit at Rs 256.45 crore as compared to Rs 228.66 crore for the previous year. Total income of the company marginally increased by 0.82% at Rs 6170.12 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 6120.23 crore for year ended March 31, 2020.

For the year ended March 31, 2021, on the consolidated basis, the company has reported 2 -fold jump in its net profit attributed to the owners at Rs 319.34 crore as compared to Rs 150.76 crore for the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 4.48% at Rs 9145.27 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 8753.29 crore for year ended March 31, 2020.
