SJVN shines on setting up four oxygen plants in Himachal Pradesh

SJVN is currently trading at Rs. 27.30, up by 0.30 points or 1.11% from its previous closing of Rs. 27.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 27.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 27.50 and Rs. 26.95 respectively. So far 71808 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 28.65 on 19-Feb-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 19.10 on 17-Jun-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 27.50 and Rs. 26.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 10728.34 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 86.77%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 7.74% and 5.50% respectively.

SJVN is setting up four oxygen plants in Himachal Pradesh. The plants are being set up as part of efforts towards tackling the Covid pandemic in the state. The company will install the plants in Shimla (Rampur), Kinnaur, Lahaul Spiti and Hamirpur districts at a cost of around Rs 4.5 crore. SJVN has provided cold chain equipment, costing around Rs 1 crore, to the state government to support its efforts to vaccinate the entire population of the state against Covid.

SJVN is engaged in hydroelectric power generation originally established as a joint venture between the government and the state government of Himachal Pradesh to develop and operate the Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station (NJHPS).
