Tata Power Company jumps as its arm gets LoA to build 210 MWp of Solar PV projects for NTPC

Tata Power Company is currently trading at Rs. 109.20, up by 1.15 points or 1.06% from its previous closing of Rs. 108.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 110.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 110.50 and Rs. 107.90 respectively. So far 1715355 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 114.95 on 15-Mar-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 38.00 on 12-Jun-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 110.50 and Rs. 103.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 34877.13 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 46.86%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 33.03% and 20.10% respectively.

Tata Power Company’s wholly-owned subsidiary -- Tata Power Solar has received ‘Letter of Award’ (LoA) to build 210 MWp of Solar PV projects for NTPC. The total order value of the projects is approximately Rs 686 crore. The commissioning date for NTPC is set for November, 2022.

With this addition, the order pipeline of Tata Power Solar stands at approximately 2.8 GW with an approximate value of Rs 13,000 crore, thereby cementing its position as India’s leading Solar EPC player. The scope of work includes land, transmission, engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of the solar projects. The NTPC project site is located in Gujarat.
