Rural Electrification Corporation has reported results for third quarter ended September 30, 2012.
The company has reported 52.80% rise in its net profit at Rs 953.90 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 624.29 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 28.93% at Rs 3313.71 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 2570.05 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.
REC is engaged in providing financial assistance to state electricity boards, state government departments and rural electric co-operatives for rural electrification projects as are sponsored by them.
