IndusInd Bank is planning to reduce carbon emissions to 50 percent in the next four years and raise climate financing to 3.5 percent in two years. The bank will be increasing the allocation of capital towards climate finance to 3.5 percent of its loan book over the next two years, which is currently at 2.7 percent. The bank is also supporting a tree plantation drive under which 50,000 trees will be planted in cities with high pollution indexes.
