Vedanta has handed over 100-bed medical infrastructure facility to Goa Medical College & Hospital, helping the state in its fight against the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. The medical infrastructure provided will comprise 20 critical care beds and 80 oxygenated beds equipped with 10 ventilators and essential equipment, including central monitoring system, ABG machine and X- ray machines.
The Vedanta group has pledged Rs 150 crore for combating the second COVID-19 wave across the country, in addition to Rs 201 crore contribution during the first wave of COVID last year.
Vedanta is a diversified natural resources company, whose business primarily involves producing oil and gas, zinc- lead-silver, copper, iron ore, aluminium and commercial power.
