PNB Housing Finance tumbles as NHB imposes penalty of Rs 80,000

PNB Housing Finance is currently trading at Rs. 715.00, down by 23.05 points or 3.12% from its previous closing of Rs. 738.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 701.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 774.00 and Rs. 701.15 respectively. So far 40629 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 924.00 on 08-Jun-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 193.20 on 16-Jul-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 850.00 and Rs. 701.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 11997.81 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 32.64%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 27.82% and 39.55% respectively.

National Housing Bank (NHB) has imposed a penalty of Rs 80,000 on PNB Housing Finance for not complying with loan disbursement norms in 2015. However, the company has asked the regulator to reconsider the penalty. The home loan disbursements were related to Pushpban and Chaitraban projects situated at a village in Pune, promoted and developed by DSK.

PNB Housing Finance is a registered housing finance company with National Housing Bank (NHB). They provide housing loans to individuals and corporate bodies for construction, purchase, repair and up-gradation of houses.
