Tata Power surges on inking pact with Ceat

Tata Power Company is currently trading at Rs. 124.85, up by 0.85 points or 0.69% from its previous closing of Rs. 124.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 125.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 126.05 and Rs. 124.50 respectively. So far 784318 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 132.50 on 09-Jun-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 46.00 on 16-Jul-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 126.80 and Rs. 121.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 39909.79 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 46.86%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 33.03% and 20.10% respectively.

Tata Power Company has tied up with Ceat to establish a 10MW captive solar plant at Tata Power's Solapur site for powering its tyre manufacturing facility in Bhandup (Mumbai). Tata Power has created a special purpose vehicle (SPV) -- TP Akkalkot Renewable -- which will be responsible for undertaking the construction, operation and maintenance of this captive solar power plant. While Ceat will hold 26 per cent stake in the SPV, Tata power will own 74 per cent, as per the captive generation rules.
