Kovilpatti Lakshmi Roller Flour Mills has received approval for installation of 5 MW Solar Power Plant at Gangaikondan, in Tamil Nadu on leasehold lands at an estimated cost of Rs 30 crore for the purpose of captive consumption, which would help the company to reduce its dependence on non-renewable sources of energy.
The board also approved installation of new flour mill with a capacity of 1,20,000 MT per annum at Gangaikondan, at an estimated cost of Rs 50 crore. The new flour mill will increase the existing capacity at food division of the company and help the company to meet the additional market demand in future. The financing would be done through a combination of debt and internal accruals. The Board of directors of the company at their meeting held on July 16, 2021has considered and approved the same.
