Hindustan Zinc shines on reporting 46% rise in Q1 net profit

Hindustan Zinc is currently trading at Rs. 332.75, up by 5.75 points or 1.76% from its previous closing of Rs. 327.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 331.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 335.85 and Rs. 330.10 respectively. So far 67036 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 362.40 on 19-May-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 197.10 on 24-Jul-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 345.05 and Rs. 319.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 140660.87 crore.

Hindustan Zinc has reported a rise of 45.92% in its net profit at Rs 1983 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2021 as compared to Rs 1359 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 47.23% at Rs 6880 crore for Q1FY22 as compared Rs 4673 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

Hindustan Zinc, the world’s second biggest zinc producer, operates the world’s third largest open-pit mine, and world’s largest Zinc Mine in Rampura Agucha, Rajasthan.
