Indian Bank gains on the BSE

Indian Bank is currently trading at Rs. 139.30, up by 0.35 points or 0.25% from its previous closing of Rs. 138.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 141.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 141.55 and Rs. 139.20 respectively. So far 176454 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 156.90 on 18-Feb-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 53.20 on 25-Sep-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 143.75 and Rs. 137.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 17411.27 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 79.86%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 13.43% and 6.71% respectively.

Indian Bank has declared Lanco Infratech and Basundhara Green Power as fraud accounts with a total outstanding balance of over Rs 589 crore. Lanco Infratech with a loan outstanding of Rs 577.47 crore to the bank, caused the fraud in the nature of diversion of funds. Basundhara Green Power on the other hand caused the fraud by way of defective title deed or imperfect mortgage.

Indian Bank was established as a part of the Swadeshi movement. The Bank provides a wide spectrum of banking products and services.
