Gujarat State Petronet spurts on reporting marginal rise in Q2 net profit

Gujarat State Petronet is currently trading at Rs 76.30, up by 1.60 points or 2.14% from its previous closing of Rs 74.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 74.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs 76.35 and Rs 74.45 respectively. So far 39463 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 102.40 on 09-Nov-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs 62.05 on 18-May-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 76.45 and Rs 74.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 4279.34 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 37.73% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 38.23% and 24.04% respectively.

Gujarat State Petronet has reported 2.71% rise in its net profit at Rs 132.80 crore for second quarter ended September 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 129.30 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased marginally by 0.24% at Rs 295.77 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 295.06 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.

Gujarat State Petronet is a subsidiary Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC). It has taken initiative in developing energy transportation infrastructure in Gujarat and connecting major natural gas supply sources and demand markets.
