NTPC’s JV commences operation of Unit-III of Indira Gandhi Thermal Power Station

Aravali Power Company has commenced the operation of Unit-III of 500 MW of Indira Gandhi Super Thermal Power Station at Jhajjar with effect from November 07, 2012. With this the total installed capacity of Indira Gandhi Super Thermal Power Station has become 1,500 MW and the total capacity of NTPC group has become 39,674 MW

Aravali Power Company, a JV of NTPC, Haryana Power Generation Corporation, Government of Haryana and Indraprastha Power Generation Company.

NTPC is the largest power generating major in the country. It has also diversified into hydro power, coal mining, power equipment manufacturing, oil & gas exploration, power trading & distribution
