Karur Vysya Bank trades higher on reporting marginal rise in Q1 net profit

Karur Vysya Bank is currently trading at Rs. 46.85, up by 0.15 points or 0.32% from its previous closing of Rs. 46.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 46.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 47.30 and Rs. 46.75 respectively. So far 47413 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 64.50 on 12-Mar-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 29.35 on 13-Oct-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 49.60 and Rs. 46.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3740.78 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 2.12%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 41.18% and 56.70% respectively.

Karur Vysya Bank has reported 3.19% rise in its net profit at Rs 108.87 crore for first quarter ended June 30, 2021 as compared to Rs 105.50 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank decreased by 5.75% at Rs 1595.93 crore for Q1FY22 as compared to Rs 1693.23 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

The Bank’s gross NPA for the April-June quarter of the current fiscal improved to 7.97%, as compared to 8.34% in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides, Bank’s Net NPA stood at 3.69% in Q1FY22.
