Chembond Chemicals falls as its arm permanently closes Thane manufacturing facility

Chembond Chemicals is currently trading at Rs. 213.00, down by 7.95 points or 3.60% from its previous closing of Rs. 220.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 223.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 223.35 and Rs. 211.95 respectively. So far 2889 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 265.00 on 04-Aug-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 135.10 on 16-Oct-2020.

Chembond Chemicals’ wholly owned subsidiary -- Phiroze Sethna has permanently closed the Thane manufacturing facility. The revenue contributed by the unit during the last financial year was Rs 7 crore and reason for the closure is poor financial viability.

Chembond Chemicals, incorporated in 1975, is engaged in specialty chemicals business and offers a range of products for industrial applications.
