Indian Hotels Company shines on getting nod to raise up to Rs 3,000 crore via rights issue

The Indian Hotels Company is currently trading at Rs. 139.55, up by 1.70 points or 1.23% from its previous closing of Rs. 137.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 140.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 140.85 and Rs. 133.55 respectively. So far 96493 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 157.25 on 07-Jul-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 88.60 on 24-Sep-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 142.15 and Rs. 133.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 16304.73 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 40.75%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 40.55% and 18.70% respectively.

Indian Hotels Company’s (IHCL) board has approved raising of up to Rs 3,000 crore through a rights issue. The board of directors of the company has considered and approved, issue of equity shares by way of a rights issue to the existing shareholders of the company on a record date for an amount not exceeding Rs 3,000 crore.

Indian Hotels Company and its subsidiaries are collectively known as Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces and recognized as one of Asia's largest and finest hotel company. It operates in the luxury, premium, midmarket and value segments of the market.
