Power Grid rises on commissioning Vindhyachal-Varanasi transmission line

Power Grid Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs. 174.55, up by 1.35 points or 0.78% from its previous closing of Rs. 173.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 173.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 174.75 and Rs. 171.75 respectively. So far 134638 shares were traded on the counter.

Power Grid Corporation of India has commissioned a 765 kV double circuit Vindhyachal-Varanasi transmission line. With the commissioning of this link, the inter-regional power transfer capacity of the national grid has enhanced by 4,200 MW, taking the total capacity to 1,10,750 MW in the country.
