Bajaj Auto reports 5% rise in August sales

Bajaj Auto has reported 5 percent rise in total sales to 373,270 units in August 2021 as against 356,199 in the same month last year. Total domestic sales decreased by 7 percent to 172,595 units in August as compared to 185,879 units in August 2020. 

Total two-wheeler sales were up 5 percent at 338,310 units as compared to 321,058 units in the year-ago month. Commercial Vehicles sales stood at 34,960 units in August 2021 as against 35,141 units in August 2020, registering a fall of 1 percent. Meanwhile, exports of the company increased by 18 percent to 200,675 units in the reporting month compared to 170,320 in the same month last year.   

Bajaj Auto is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
