L&T rises on concluding divestment of 100% stake in hydroelectric power plant in Uttarakhand

Larsen & Toubro is currently trading at Rs. 1686.00, up by 14.60 points or 0.87% from its previous closing of Rs. 1671.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1678.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1717.90 and Rs. 1673.65 respectively. So far 119605 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1684.80 on 30-Aug-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 842.50 on 24-Sep-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1684.80 and Rs. 1586.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 236825.00 crore.

The Institutions holding in the company stood at 55.86%, while Non-Institutions held 44.14%.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) concluded the divestment of its 100% stake in the 3 x 33 MW (99 MW) hydroelectric power plant at Singoli-Bhatwari in Uttarakhand. As per the terms, the EPC Projects, Hi-Tech Manufacturing and Services conglomerate received a consideration of Rs 1,001.50 crore as divestment proceeds from Renew Power on August 30, 2021.

This deal is in line with the company's strategy to pursue the divestment path for all non-core assets in its portfolio.

L&T is an Indian multinational engaged in technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing and financial services.
