17 Nov 2012 Evaluate

Tata Motors, country’s largest automotive company, has unveiled its next generation car ‘Tata Manza’, a Club Class sedan in Kolkata. The company is also planning to launch an upgraded version of its utility vehicle Aria by December this year. Aria was initially launched in 2010 but had failed to make its mark in the growing domestic utility vehicle market.

By the end of this fiscal the company will roll out its newly-launched sports utility vehicle (SUV) Safari Storme in the eastern region. The company currently enjoys over 10% market share nationally in the utility vehicle segment. The company commands 25% market share in utility vehicle segment in West Bengal.

Besides, with the launching of upgraded models of Aria and Storme, the company is expecting the market share to go up by about 5 to 10 percent by March, 2013. Further, the company is selling close to 5,000 units to 6,000 units per month of Nano cars across pan-India.
