Union Bank of India (UBI), country’s largest public sector lender has been conferred with the prestigious ACI Excellence Award 2012. The bank has been conferred the award for implementing three remittance products viz. NEFT, IMPS and Union e-Cash on ATMs. The bank has received the award for second year in a row. The award was given to the bank at ACI's Customer Exchange Conference held at Bangkok on November 06, 2012.
Union Bank of India has a network of 4200 ATMs and is offering multiple value added services on ATMs like tax payment, bill payment, mobile top ups, mutual fund payments etc. The remittance services launched by the bank are available 24x7 and are free of charge to customers. The bank is planning to take its ATM number to 5000 by March, 2013.
The award received by the bank is a global award given by ACI Worldwide Inc. every year for innovative use of its payment system software’s.
