Kingfisher Airlines trades in green on the BSE

Kingfisher Airlines is currently trading at Rs. 13.60, up by 0.31 points or 2.33% from its previous closing of Rs. 13.29 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 13.55 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 13.81 and Rs. 13.00 respectively. So far 3587425 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 30.90 on 07-Feb-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 7.01 on 13-Aug-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 14.65 and Rs. 13.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1097.44 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 35.83% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.61% and 48.56% respectively.

Private equity player TPG has reportedly expressed interest in buying stakes in Kingfisher Airlines, which has suspended its operations due to financial crunch and other related issues. Earlier, Kingfisher Airlines was in talks with foreign players to infuse the much-needed equity into the airline. TPG is considering 9-10% stake purchase in the airline.

Moreover, the airline is expected to submit a comprehensive revival plan to lenders in the coming days. If it presents a convincing survival plan to bankers who have lent around Rs 8,000 crore to the company, it will take around six months for the airline to turnaround.
