Asian Markets trade mostly higher in early deals on Wednesday

Most of the Asian equity benchmarks traded higher in early deals on Wednesday, cheered with the positive trend in Wall Street overnight. Market sentiments got boosted with the optimism over global economic rebound and corporate earnings while the yen slipped to a four-year low on the dollar. Technological shares are in upward trend, while banking also advanced in the session. MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan added 0.3%. Japan’s Nikkei extended previous sessional gain with the upward trend in exporter’s with the softer yen. Meanwhile, the major European markets finished mixed in the session. Indonesian market is closed for Mawlid -al-Nabi. Among the Asian stocks, Japan, Hong Kong, China and, Malaysia are trading higher. Bucking the trend, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan are in negative territory.

Nikkei 225 up by 43.82 points or 0.15% to 29,259.34, Hang Seng accelerated by 338.75 points or 1.31% to 26,125.96, Shanghai Composite climbed by 0.24 points or 0.01% to 3,593.39, and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI jumped by 1.20 points or 0.07% to 1,607.17.

On the flip side, Straight times down by 0.36 points or 0.01% to 3,198.65, , KOSPI slipped by 10.20 points or 0.34% to 3,018.84, Taiwan Weighted dipped by 17.30 points or 0.10% to 16,883.37.
