HDFC Life Insurance Company gains on getting CCI’s nod for acquisition of 100% shareholding in Exide Life

HDFC Life Insurance Co is currently trading at Rs. 694.55, up by 1.75 points or 0.25% from its previous closing of Rs. 692.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 695.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 698.60 and Rs. 692.60 respectively. So far 29604 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 775.65 on 02-Sep-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 587.75 on 09-Nov-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 698.60 and Rs. 675.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 140870.69 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 53.81%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 36.79% and 9.40% respectively.

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the acquisition by HDFC Life Insurance Company (Acquirer) of 100 per cent shareholding in Exide Life Insurance Company (Target) under Section 31(1) of the Competition Act, 2002.

As per CCI, the acquirer is a life insurance company registered with the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (the IRDAI).
