Sterling and Wilson Solar surges on getting shareholders' nod to issue equity shares to RNESL

Sterling and Wilson Solar is currently trading at Rs. 455.00, up by 6.20 points or 1.38% from its previous closing of Rs. 448.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 452.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 458.95 and Rs. 445.25 respectively. So far 61063 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 509.00 on 11-Oct-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 210.00 on 06-Nov-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 458.95 and Rs. 432.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7285.15 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 69.36%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 12.18% and 18.46% respectively.

Sterling and Wilson Solar (SWSL) has got shareholders' approval to issue equity shares on a preferential basis to Reliance New Energy Solar (RNESL). Earlier, on October 10, the company had announced that RNESL had executed definitive agreements with Shapoorji Pallonji and Company (SPCPL), Khurshed Daruvala and Sterling to acquire 40 per cent stake post-money in SWSL through a series of transactions.

Sterling & Wilson Solar is engaged in the business of construction and maintenance of power plants. The company's products and services range include Contract activities and Operation Services.
