Asian Markets trade mostly lower on Thursday

Most of the Asian equity benchmarks traded lower on Thursday, with the risk aversion in the markets amid spurring inflation concerns and on reports showing a rise in coronavirus cases in several countries in the region and Europe. Japan’s Nikkei was trading in red with liquidation across most sectors. As per reports, Japan's exports have snapped seven months of double-digit growth as the supply chain crisis hit the motor industry. Among the Asian stocks, Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Indonesia, China and Malaysia are in negative side. However, Singapore and Taiwan were trading higher.

Nikkei 225 down by 216.91 points or 0.73% to 29,471.42, Hang Seng dipped by 345.01 points or 1.35% to 25,305.07, KOSPI lower by 3.90 points or 0.13% to 2,958.52, Jakarta Composite narrowed by 45.77 points or 0.69% to 6,630.03, Shanghai Composite shrunk by 4.56 points or 0.13% to 3,532.81 and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI curtailed by 3.30 points or 0.22% to 1,521.83

On the flip side, Straight times up by 1.47 points or 0.05% to 3,234.15 and Taiwan Weighted lifted by 39.79 points or 0.22 to 17,803.83.
