Vedanta surges on the bourses

Vedanta is currently trading at Rs. 314.50, up by 4.90 points or 1.58% from its previous closing of Rs. 309.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 309.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 323.20 and Rs. 309.60 respectively. So far 1276109 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 385.75 on 19-Oct-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 109.55 on 20-Nov-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 345.70 and Rs. 302.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 118151.02 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.18%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 20.62% and 9.88% respectively.

Vedanta is mulling complete overhaul of its corporate structure, including demerger and listing of the aluminum, iron & steel, and oil and gas businesses as standalone entities to unlock shareholder value.

The company is evaluating all options, including demergers, spin-offs and strategic partnerships, and is looking at listing its aluminum, iron and steel, and oil and gas verticals as separate entities.
