HDFC Bank rises on partnering with Equitas Small Finance to launch new co-branded credit cards

HDFC Bank is currently trading at Rs. 1524.05, up by 7.25 points or 0.48% from its previous closing of Rs. 1516.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1523.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1536.45 and Rs. 1516.00 respectively. So far 116886 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1724.30 on 18-Oct-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1342.00 on 28-Jan-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1553.40 and Rs. 1496.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 847850.14 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 25.83%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 60.92% and 13.25% respectively.

HDFC Bank and Equitas Small Finance Bank (SFB) have partnered to launch new co-branded credit cards. The credit cards will be available for Equitas Small Finance Bank's customers. There are two categories of credit cards - Excite Credit Card and Elegance Credit Card.  While Excite credit card will offer a credit limit from Rs 25,000 to Rs 2 lakh, Elegance offers a credit of over Rs 2 lakh.

This first-of-its-kind partnership for HDFC Bank will enable to extend best-in-class offerings in the cards segment to Equitas Small Finance Bank's customers and provide them with a highly rewarding credit card experience. HDFC Bank is the leading player in the payments ecosystem with a dominant share in both cards issuing and acquiring business. It has over 21 lakh acceptance points, making it among the largest facilitators of cashless payments in the country.
