Sambandam Spinning Mills surges on disposing non-core asset in TamilNadu

Sambandam Spinning Mills is currently trading at Rs. 227.05, up by 6.35 points or 2.88% from its previous closing of Rs. 220.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 220.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 231.70 and Rs. 220.70 respectively. So far 819 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'X' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 292.45 on 10-Nov-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 50.05 on 26-Nov-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 237.00 and Rs. 214.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 96.83 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.57%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 1.12% and 48.32% respectively.

Sambandam Spinning Mills has disposed left out balance of its non-core asset -unusable and non productive vacant land situated at Udumalpet district, TamilNadu. Unusable vacant land with zero productive value (land measuring 3.70 acres). The total consideration received was Rs 7.37 lakh. The land was purchased long ago for windmill power project, but it is not used for such project and it became vacant unusable land, a non-core asset with nil revenue generation.

Sambandam Spinning Mills is engaged in operating five mills. The company also operates wind energy converters located in the state of Tamil Nadu.
