Va Tech Wabag has informed that in reference to earlier communication in connection with certain disputes including nonpayment of dues of approx. Rs.15 Crores for more than 5 years by Delhi Jal Board (DJB) relating to Company towards the contract for Operation and Maintenance for 45 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant at Kondli, Delhi; We write this to inform you that in connection with the Writ Petition bearing W.P.(C) No 8342 of 2020 filed by the Company before the Hon’ble Delhi High Court challenging the illegal and malafide debarment action initiated by DJB on the Company, the Hon’ble Delhi High Court vide its order dated 2 nd December 2021, directed that the debarment order passed by Delhi Jal Board, which is under challenge in the present petition, shall not prevent the Company from bidding for contracts with other Organizations till further orders in this petition; As communicated earlier, the Company, in addition to this Writ Petition, had also filed an Arbitration claim before the Sole Arbitrator for the recovery of its outstanding O&M bills due and receivable from DJB to the extent of Rs. 15 Crores and other contractual /legal claims, plus the interest thereof till the date of payment, which is pending adjudication before the Sole Arbitrator.
