NHPC has received approval for the merger/amalgamation of Lanco Teesta Hydro Power (Transferor Company), which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, with the Company under Section 230-232 of the Companies Act, 2013 and other statutory provisions as per the terms and conditions mentioned in the Scheme of Amalgamation (Scheme). The Board of Directors in its meeting held on December 7, 2021 has approved the same.
NHPC is engaged in electric power generation by hydroelectric power plants. The company is also engaged in contracts, project management and consultancy works.
